**Spoilers** This whole case would have been solved right away assuming the FBI uses ViCAP. Depending on what year this takes place, ViCAP was invented in 1985. The hallmarks of the killer would have been noticed right away.

This book is wrote really well with lots of twists and turns. Typical ending of a series. Questions not answered from the start of the book. That’s why it’s a 4 star review instead of 5. Overall a good short book.

Katie Winter is an FBI agent that has been called in on a murder case that involves both Canada and the US. Someone is killing blue eyed blonde women and leaving them submerged in freezing water of a Canadian lake. Katie was chosen for the case because she is familiar with the territory as it is her childhood home. (This is kind of cliche, the last two FBI books I read had the same subplot).

I couldn’t put it down until the end. The characters were fantastic and the story was interesting and full of suspense. Great read.

The action was fast moving and kept you guessing. There were a number of red herrings that made the reader think the bad guy had been identified but then he would appear again. And the territory and weather were interesting parts of the story as well. Good team work to catch him finally. Good story!
