Sure, the story part was only like 200 something pages, but it is so crucial and it is amazing and it’s so cool how we get two different POV’s

(Spoiler Alert 🚨) Seeing and reading things from the authors perspective was really cool, and I loved all the extra parts and activities like quizzes and recipes. Mallowmelt cookies are a thing now! The cliffhanger though… why Keefe!! Why did you have to do this??!?!?! Anyways, 100% recommend this amazing book. Thank you so much Shannon Messenger for this book! She views them as her family and sees herself as one of the Vacker brood, despite knowing it isn’t true. However, she doesn’t like how Fitz acts, especially with how he treats Sophie. Meryis has a huge crush on Dex, and often asks Mira and Osari, who live with him, about what he does when she’s not around. Whether or not Meryis will end up with Dex, Mira, or Osari is undecided. Heck, she could eventually end up with all three—at different times, obviously. MORE ABOUT MIRA: She and her brother arrived at the Lost Cities when they were old enough to attend Foxfire, and joined at level one. All files about their previous life and their bloodline have been erased prior to their return to the Lost Cities, and new records have only recently begun to be kept. Mira enjoys staying with Dex and his family, despite the annoyance of Meryis’s questions, and she has no desire to find her true parents. “If they cared about us, they wouldn’t have abandoned us,” she says whenever Osari brings up the topic. She has a crush on Meryis, which she feels is quite helpless, because she’s fairly certain Meryis is not attracted to girls like Mira is. MORE ABOUT OSARI: Osari and Mira are both twins who share the Inflictor ability, which manifested in Osari when they were six, and Mira’s manifested three years later. Since returning to the Lost Cities, their other abilities manifested. Osari, while grateful for Dex vouching for his parents to let them stay with him, is obsessed with trying to find out who their parents were. All he knows is that they must have been powerful Inflictors for both of their children to have the same ability, and to be so skilled with it. Mira doesn’t care about who they are, but Osari has gotten into trouble a lot for trying to find files and information about the Venn bloodline, which seems to have been wiped from the records. Another thing that must run in the family is the fondness for a certain periwinkle-eyed Empath, because Osari also has a crush on Meryis, and he thinks that if it weren’t for Dex, he’d have a way better chance than his sister. For the past two books we had very little action well at least until the end of the book but this one has been on and popping from the get go!! BTW I’m in LOVE with this new Sophie PLZ keep her this way!!

I hate Rayni. She’s a bad influence on Sophie and the others and she’s a self-important brat. Tam better not be crushing on her, especially since she and Linh hate each other! Not exactly basis for a good relationship! Other than that, liked the book. But why no Maruca file?

Biana admitted to liking Tam!!!!!!!!!!! EEEE! Oh, also the book was AMAZING! But, back to SHIPPING!!! (Now, let me rant!) I think that Biana and Tam should end up together 1: because they have amazing chemistry. 2: Linh teased Tam in book 5 that he liked brunettes and Tam just says: “Ew! Gross! Why do you know that?!” (Or something idk) and never said he didn’t! 3: in book 8.5 Fitz teases Biana that she’s missing Tam and that she’s a fan of silver bangs! 4: They seem like they get along very well and Biana always acts jealous when he spends time with other girls and volunteers to be with Tam, they search Everglen together in book uh….. six…….? Maybe? Probably (don’t get mad if I’m wrong) and 5: I WANT THEM TO BE TOGETHER!!!!!!!! Thank you for listening to my rant 🥳 you saved my brothers for a few minutes
