Description

Toe the line between rule-following and rule-breaking in this tense and twisted start to a smart and sexy dystopian trilogy.

Vi knows the Rule: Girls don’t walk with boys, and they never even think about kissing them. But no one makes Vi want to break the Rules more than Zenn…and since the Thinkers have chosen him as Vi’s future match, how much trouble can one kiss cause? The Thinkers may have brainwashed the rest of the population, but Vi is determined to think for herself.
But the Thinkers are unusually persuasive, and they’re set on convincing Vi to become one of them….starting by brainwashing Zenn. Vi can’t leave Zenn in the Thinkers’ hands, but she’s wary of joining the rebellion, especially since that means teaming up with Jag. Jag is egotistical, charismatic, and dangerous—everything Zenn’s not. Vi can’t quite trust Jag and can’t quite resist him, but she also can’t give up on Zenn.
This is a game of control or be controlled. And Vi has no choice but to play.

  • Good but...

It was a really good book, amazing, actually. But the ending made me so mad! I could just have anger problems but I actually threw this book at my wall. What the hell were you thinking, ending a book like that?!?!?!
  • The ending hurt my heart.

This was a great book. Had a good storyline and development of charecters. The romance in this book rivals almost every teen romantic relashionship I have ever read in a YA fiction novel. The one gigantic problem with this book even though it was an easy read was the ending. The ending didn't feel like an end at all. It felt unfinished. There is a gigantic cliffhanger at the end. I don't need an ending spelled out for me but feeling as though a book needs a sequel just to be finished is not satisfying. The author insists that there will be no sequel but I feel that's unfair to the readers who adored this book. All in all this author needs to get working on a sequel because I don't think possession really ended.
  • Good but the ending leaves you wanting more

It was a quick read, I finished in a day. I'm just getting so bored with these cryptic open endings that never have resolution. Ah, it's good and I liked it. Id like it more if the ending were more satisfying. I came back because I can't stop thinking about this story. I really hope there is a sequel because there is so much more to be done with the story.
