If you want to get a decent job in the Belt, you must have at least two years of experience in that job. The only available job now, which allows you to gain some experience is that of anchor setter. The number of dead people in this job is rapidly growing, which concerns the people from Earth, who want to find out the reason for that.
The Belt’s government arm has a touchy relationship with Earth, since the Earth holds tax regulations against the Belters in order to keep them where they are. In order to find out why people die in Belt, a man from Earth, with previous experience, is chosen to undergo anchor training and prove that their equipment and the methods used are appropriate.
What will the man find out? Why people die in the Belt? What is happening there?
