The story based in 1916 when Bradely and his four companions search a way out of the barrier cliffs surrounding the mythical land of Caspak. During the night Bradley hears a faint flapping of huge wings, and one of his companions describe it as a human being in a flowing white robe, yellow teeth behind thin, tight-drawn lips -- like a man who had been dead a long while.
The plot takes an unexpected turn when Bradley is captured by the Wieroos and taken to the Blue Place of Seven Skulls. The story weaves on mysteriously when Bradley, who narrowly escapes a cannibal, meets another soul - a Galu woman - both in captivity. The tale unfolds enchantingly when they escape and wonderfully highlights all the adventures they have in the process of freeing themselves.
