Description

D. C. attorney Trevor Mann is about to discover a shocking secret . . . and to uncover the truth, he must solve the most shocking mystery of his life.
After a serious professional stumble, attorney Trevor Mann may have finally hit his stride. He's found happiness with his girlfriend Claire Parker, a beautiful, ambitious journalist always on the hunt for a scoop. But when Claire's newest story leads to a violent confrontation, Trevor's newly peaceful life is shattered as he tries to find out why.
Chasing Claire's leads, Trevor unearths evidence of a shocking secret that-if it actually exists-every government and terrorist organization around the world would do anything to possess. Suddenly it's up to Trevor, along with a teenage genius who gives new meaning to the phrase "too smart for his own good," to make sure that secret doesn't fall into the wrong hands. But Trevor is about to discover that good and evil can look a lot alike, and nothing is ever black and white: not even the truth.

Not sure what is up with this book, but it suddenly takes a turn down the road of utter confusion for the reader. Hard to focus on this one, and I usually read all of Mr. Patterson's books in 1-2 days. Sadly disappointed.

Very quick and easy to read. James Patterson is one of the few writers that I read. Good story and detail. Can't wait for the new Alex Cross.

Always a fan of James Patterson and most of his co writers this was a disappointment mostly because of the misconceived wit this cowriter. Trying to end each paragraph with a the heroes "witty thought" tended to confuse the story for me.

I am not sure why I continue to buy Mr. Patterson's books? They are a complete waste of money. He needs to stop writing. He was once one of the best suspense authors of all time, but now it is not true.

This is a book that is an okay read. It is not as good as many of James Patterson's other books. This was a book which did not catch my interest enough that I had a difficult time putting it down as I have had with many of his other books.
