A more modern storyline written in the prose of the era. The story starts slowly, introducing the main chars and motives. So many of the facial expressions are eerily lifelike. Detail seeps it's way into everything from the side tables to everyone's clothing. The background has the same gritty feeling as the stories in old pulp fiction. I feel like this was something the author enjoyed creating, and wanted to communicate what he saw in his mind very carefully. This isn't some generic "furry art" or some superhero comic along the way. True to the genre, the protagonist is very relatable. Fallible, he makes as many mistakes as the common person. He survives on his instincts, resolve, and emotion. This powerful combination brings the story to life, both on the pages, and in your head. View the sample. You won't be disappointed.
