The book documents the tale of an African from his time in his homeland to the enslavement in the Americas.
Because it is written from the Journals of his travels aboard many ships, the narrative is very choppy and in cohesive in the fact in switches subjects drastically.
But once you get past the writing style, it really does give an detailed insight on the relationship between the Natives, Africans, and Europeans during that time in human history.
