Home / The Lodger. A True Crime Thriller Inspired by the Murders of Jack the Ripper
A young blonde woman screams. She is the seventh victim of a serial killer known as the Avenger, who targets young blonde women on Tuesday evenings.
The Lodger was initially published in 1911 as a short story in the "McClure's Magazine". Afterwards, Marie Belloc Lowndes wrote a novel by the same name, based on the short story, which was published in 1913 in a serialized format in the "Daily Telegraph" and, later in the same year, published by Methuen as a book.
This is the first edition presenting both the 1911 version and the 1913 definitive book edition, and is made available exclusively on the Apple Books Store.
