Evie does it again

Evie Alexander does it again. This time with Sophia Hunter-Savage and the hot yoga teacher who has taken a vow of celibacy. This book is for sure to be a fantastic summer beach read, with most of the book taking place in the British Virgin Islands. Yoga is a huge part of this book, helping Sophia deal with her anxiety and control her breathing, which is very well done in this book. We still see some of the OG players from past books, since this book starts about halfway through the Upper Crush. We get a fun scene with Estelle in the beginning, and Evelyn is Isaac’s knowledgeable sage, offering the perfect bit of advice for his predicament. And on brand, we get funny quippy one liners like douche-barge, mixed in with some big experiences and life lessons. This book does have some trigger warnings regarding a non consensual sexual encounter and drug use, and takes on some heavy experiences like what happens when the people we love are put on a pedestal. And as always, the spicy scenes are just so perfectly written and appropriately placed. I can’t wait for the next Foxbrooke installment.
Yoga Themed Romance

I absolutely loved this book. This book gave me exactly what I wanted in the last book with Sophia. She goes through her own journey of self discovery and is allowed to shine as her own person. Isaac is a great love interest for Sophia, he understands her needs and can be there for her when she needs him.
A Gem of a Romantic Comedy

*The Love Position* by Evie Alexander is an absolute gem of a romantic comedy, earning every bit of its five-star rating. From the compelling main characters to the delightful supporting cast, this novel had me hooked from start to finish. Listening to the audio version added an extra layer of enjoyment, bringing the characters and their emotions to life in a vibrant way.
Sophia Hunter-Savage, a brilliant archaeologist, is the kind of protagonist you can’t help but root for. After experiencing betrayal both professionally and personally, her return to Foxbrooke and decision to take up yoga was a relatable and inspiring step toward healing. Her journey from heartbroken academic to a confident woman finding her way is beautifully depicted.
Isaac Hayward, the impossibly hot yoga instructor with a vow of chastity, is the perfect foil to Sophia. His commitment to his spiritual path adds a unique twist to the classic romance narrative. The sexual tension between Sophia and Isaac is palpable and expertly woven throughout the story, keeping me eagerly turning pages to see how their relationship would unfold.
The chemistry between Sophia and Isaac is undeniable, and their interactions are filled with humor, tenderness, and sizzling attraction. Watching Isaac struggle with his growing feelings for Sophia while trying to maintain his vow added depth to his character and made their eventual union all the more satisfying.
The supporting characters in *The Love Position* are equally delightful, adding richness and humor to the story. The village of Foxbrooke itself feels like a character, with its charming, close-knit community providing the perfect backdrop for Sophia and Isaac’s romance.]
One of the standout aspects of this book is how Alexander handles the themes of personal growth and healing. Sophia’s journey is about more than just finding love; it’s about reclaiming her life and rediscovering her passions. Isaac’s internal conflict and eventual acceptance of his feelings add a layer of emotional complexity that elevates the story beyond a typical romcom.
The forbidden love trope is executed perfectly here, with just the right amount of tension and release. The scenes set in the ashram were particularly memorable, showcasing the couple’s undeniable connection despite the obstacles they face.
*The Love Position* is a fantastic blend of humor, romance, and heartfelt moments. Evie Alexander has crafted a story that is both entertaining and deeply moving, with characters that stay with you long after you’ve turned the last page. If you’re looking for a romantic comedy that delivers on all fronts – from laughs to steamy romance to emotional depth – this book is a must-read. The audio version, with its excellent narration, makes the experience even more immersive and enjoyable.
A Fun Continuation of the Foxbrooke Series

This was another fun and romantic addition to the Foxbrooke series of books and fans of the other books are sure to enjoy this one. Each novel so far has had unique characters and storylines and this one continues that, especially with the character’s personalities.
Evie Alexander does a great job of not just focusing on the romance but also on the growth of her characters. I loved to see Sophia grow from someone more meek and shy into someone who was able to stand up for herself, while still continuing to be more reserved and true to her nature. The message here isn’t that being more quiet is a problem, but in how building one’s confidence can be liberating.
There’s a parallel through line of development for Isaac over the course of the novel. I will admit that some of the issues in the first part of the book around Isaac had me a bit worried about how the book was going to go. Without going into spoiler territory, let me just assure other readers that that is all part of Isaac’s growth and the central conflict of the story. It does get resolved, and in a satisfying way, don’t worry!
While I have no significant knowledge on the subjects and therefore can’t be entirely sure, it did seem that Alexander did some research around both anthropology and yoga for this book, which I can appreciate. I also appreciated her treatment of serious societal issues, especially for women (again, not trying to get into spoilers).
Overall, an enjoyable book and it was fun to see how this one wove together with the past books and then extended the stories of the other characters, too.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
So good!

This book is so delightful! I was laughing and smiling so much! I loved how Sophia and Isaac had an immediate and powerful connection. One of my favorite parts was when Sophia goes to Isaac’s house for the first time. 👀😍 I’m not going to elaborate because I don’t want to give anything away, but it was very memorable! I loved the “forbidden” romance aspects as Sophia and Isaac have to keep their relationship a secret. I fell in love with both of them and it was such a journey to see them fall in love with each other. Their chemistry is so blazing hot! The ending was absolutely perfect and so satisfying!

The Love Position by @eviealexanderauthor is an amazing love story filled with yoga and hot moments! 😍🔥
Blurb: Forbidden love has never looked so tempting…
After making a ground-breaking discovery, archaeologist Sophia Hunter-Savage has her work stolen and her heart broken. She needs a safe place to lick her wounds, so retreats to her family home in the village of Foxbrooke. Taking up yoga is the first step on the path to healing, and when she meets the teacher, Isaac, things start to look up.
Yoga instructor Isaac Hayward has finally found meaning and purpose in his life by helping others. When Sophia arrives at his class struggling with anxiety, his protective instincts kick in, but the undeniable chemistry sets off alarm bells. He’s taken a vow of chastity and relationships are strictly off-limits.
Not wanting to be tempted off the spiritual path, Isaac runs away to an ashram seeking a return to inner peace. But when Sophia unexpectedly turns up, neither can deny the forbidden attraction.
Can their love last the distance, or is this one position they can’t hold for long?
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I enjoyed reading The Love Position so much!!!Sophia and Isaac have some of the best chemistry in their story, and their character arcs are very well-written. The one bed trope is one of my fave tropes EVER, so when Evie included it, I squealed with joy!!! All the secondary characters in the novel were unforgettable, especially Sophie’s new friend. The writing is impeccable as well, keeping me up well into the odd hours of the morning!
The Love Position is a splendid novel with the usual humor and spice expected from Evie Alexander. However, this entry in the Foxbrooke series is a little darker than expected, so please check the trigger warnings before reading! 🧘♀️😊❤️🧘♂️
