    Crais is still the best out there, taking over for Robert Parker, but this book wasn’t quite as fun or engrossing as his other books. It was more predictable than most of his books, somewhat more difficult to suspend disbelief about a few of the plot twists. Still a good read, just not at the usual Crais level of brilliance.

    Loved this book. Best I’ve read in a while. I’ve missed a. Purple of the Craig’s books so going back to catch up. He writes exactly how I like to keep my interest and be entertained.

    I enjoy how Crais moves his stories a long at a pace that makes the reader want to keep turning the page. Sidekick Pike peeks through as the plot thickens just enough making the reader want more. Very entertaining and engaging book. I want to read more.

    Yo just can’t beat Elvis Cole. I really miss these books. This was a great read with a lot of twists and turns. Crais develops the characters well and gets right to the point. Keep writing these books, please!
