This might get me shunned but I have never read/watched anything Star Wars related. I can tell you the basics (Darth Vader- bad guy/dad, Yoda- teacher, Luke- good guy), but that’s it. That being said this story is adorable. The right amount of references, without going overboard, and they’re still understandable to those of us who know nothing. This is such a quick and easy read, a great way to get introduced to an authors writing style, and type of spice. Can’t wait to read another one of her pieces.

I don’t read a lot of novellas because I prefer longer books but I enjoyed this novella. I am excited to read the author’s new series and this book is a good way to learn about the setting and other characters. There were a lot of Star Wars references, which made this novella stand out. I am not familiar with Star Wars, but it did not take away from the story and it made me more intrigued. I like that Ben and Leia have their own goals and are passionate about their career as chefs. It was interesting to see how they work together and how their connection is there despite certain past events. The chemistry and spice were great and there were cute moments. I hope to see them in the series.

A wonderful short story.

The force is strong with Evie😉 I am a huge Star Wars fan so the references were an added bonus to the story. This novella is designed to be a welcoming introduction to the Foxbrooke universe. While the main story is about Ben and Leia, we also meet other characters which I’m sure we will learn more about later. I enjoyed it 100% and can’t wait for more Foxbrooke stories!
