    Really enjoyed the book, but was disappointed that the jarheads were called soldiers & I never saw a female corpsman. They were never called a marine only CORPSMAN. A corpsman was the most valuable person in the unit. At least in the ‘60s

    I liked the main characters & the way they gradually got to know one another. They came from two distinctly different worlds, but seemed to be able to understand each other better as the story unfolded. A refreshingly clean romance. I enjoyed reading this book & would definitely recommend it.

    Good story. Unpredictable, however the ending came quickly and did not tie up loose ends.

    This was a beautiful love story. The two main characters were great. Love the first several chapters. Lots of emotions, family stories always are interesting. This was,definitely like that. Was not able to stop reading so finished this in half a day. Laughed, and lots of watery eyes. Loved this book. Thank You
