Cliffhanger series

I absolutely enjoy reading this series, yet every cliffhanger at books end, feels like one of those scenes where a character goes down a series of painful “steps”, not unlike a series of steps but giant steps for people who are not giants. Not that that’s a bad thing, just voicing a thought I keep having at the end of the books.
