Such a lovely, beautiful story. I was immersed in it every step of the way and only wanted more when it ended. Highly recommended.

What a lovely, tragic yet beautiful hopefilled story. Such interesting characters that challenge one”s self not to hate but to be courageous, humble and to live on courageously and to see the hidden and gifted beauty in everything.
Heartfelt and suspenseful

Slow start but worth sticking around. A tale about love, loss, family, history, the grief we carry as women, and the cruelty we inflict on others in face of what we know. Beautiful.
I'm not sure how Ifeel..

I was several chapters in when I thought that I was not able to read another page because it was just so..gloomy. No character had any redeeming quality. But I'm always too curious about the end to just not continue. So I skipped ahead and read the last part. It was all I needed to read.
I guess the best way to describe how I feel is indifferent..I don't love it or hate it.

Unleashing this beautiful story and the history surrounding the town of Iola, Colorado is told so eloquently and powerfully by Shelley Read. I was immediately taken in from the first words of this book and finished it in a couple of days … not wanting it to end. Thank you for this gift … wow I hope you are working on the sequel.
