    This book is poorly written and unengaging. The author is so occupied with trying to explain the minutia of his world that the neglects the characters. The characters are one dimensional and unrelatable. There is clearly an interesting story to be told here but I can't get past the awkwardness of the writing to explore the mysteries. For shame, Mr. Drake. I had hoped for better.
