This book was written well and plot story line became interesting. I give bad review because it’s one where the author does not let reader enjoy the sweet hallmark type ending. It just hangs and stops to assume the happy ending. Most of us actually want to read the happy ending. Tear up as good love story ending. The way it just ends bam!! actually made me say cuss word out loud. I almost never cuss. I start a new author by first year and read in order if I like new author. I won’t trust her to read any more of her books.

You can always count on a solid read from Kristen and Hannah. Her stories are always touching and eloquently written. She maintains the ability to transport you to another place, another time, another world. She always manages to build meaningful relationships between all of the characters in the novel that are never one dimensional. Truly a wonderful author.

The minute I started reading, I couldn’t put it down. I was in tears for Annie, Nick, Izzy and even Blake at the end. I’ve enjoyed every Kristin Hannah book I’ve ever read and this one did not disappoint.

Very abrupt ending. Terrible ending.

It was too much like a Hallmark movie after reading 2 of her other books with historical fiction that I loved.

The transition between separate ideas and paragraphs was a bit off for Hannah. Maybe the editing? Regardless, I enjoyed the story but it needed to be tightened up a bit. Put *** between paragraphs to make the story flow better.

ThIs book reads like a Harlequin romance. I can’t believe Kristin Hannah actually wrote this.

Another great read from Hannah!

What was the author thinking? This was trite, predictable and boring.
