  • Cute story. Juvenile writing.

The story was nice, albeit a bit cheesy, but the writing was juvenile. It felt like a YA novel meets a Hallmark movie. This is my first read of Kristin Hannah’s, and others have praised The Nightingale, so I still think I’ll give that one a shot. Magic Hour does appear to be one of her earlier works, so hopefully her writing style evolved.

I can’t even describe how this book made me feel. Kristin Hannah is a genius in her ability to paint the characters in such a way that you have no choice but to invest all of your emotion in their stories. I couldn’t put this book down and I just finished it bawling as I usually do with each of her books. Well done Kristin Hannah.

I don’t remember ever being so moved by a book. This one kept me up way past my bedtime.
  • Such a good story. George is the real hero in my opinion.
