Refreshing

I first saw the author on the View and found her story intriguing for such a composed and well put together woman. Once lost, but now having found herself in life, Jillian Lauren's tale of a previous life is relatable, real, and refreshing. Because of the harem topic some may think the author is just another dimly lit reality star (ex: The Hills, The Girls Next Door, Octomom, etc), but instead this book is a tale of someone we should all aspire to be; your self.
Ms. Jillian's depression, body image issues, home life, relationships, and longing to find herself is raw and so frustrating that she can't be misinterpreted as just another misguided star. She provides a sense of relief, inspiration, and a smile because in this world there's hardly the hope of escaping your past. Some Girls may sometimes be dull with detail, but isn't that life?
Life can't always be rainbows and Lucky Charms, life as Ms. Jillian proves is about about living, learning, and loving yourself. A message that refreshingly, rings loud and clear in Some Girls.
