Excellent mystery, but a bit too gory in some parts!!

One of her best, the suspense of this book kept me reading each nite long after I shouldhve gone to bed! I wish we had more of these, suspense, good mystery without missing any of the good old fashioned romance!

It’s no lie. Out of sixteen books I’ve read by Nora Roberts, including ten stand-alone books and two trilogies, I’ve never encountered a better book than Blue Smoke! I love the romantic elements because I find it sweet and romantic, plain and simple. To some, it seems to like an eternally slow buildup, seeing it take so many years for the two protagonists, Bo Goodnight and Reena Hale, to finally meet. I should find it unrealistic that one man should spend such a long time looking for one girl just because he caught a glimpse of her at a college party, found her beautiful, and felt that she was his soulmate. But I don’t, not when the one thing he wants to do is to finally get the chance to talk to her so they can get to know one another. To me, this is very romantic because it seems like the kind of experience that anyone could have. The fact that they finally do meet only makes it that much better because of what happens afterwards, but I won’t reveal anything about it. As a thriller, this story is terrifying because every detail could happen to ANYONE! As Reena pursues her dream of becoming a firefighter and an arson investigator, fueled by a childhood tragedy, she has no idea that she is being stalked, watched, by someone from her past, someone deadly. But who is it? Her life, and the lives of those she loves most, will depend on whether or not she can figure it out before it’s too late! A perfect blend of incredible romance and spine-tingling mystery from a true master storyteller! This is Nora Roberts’ masterpiece!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had a slow start to the romance but a good ending! If you don’t like slow build ups and lots of background I don’t recommend this book but if you do like the slow steadiness of a book then I do recommend. 👍🏼👍🏼
