Phenomenal and in true style it’s a page turner, especially the final 1/3 of the book!

I gave this book four stars even though I it was the best thriller I have from the Alex Cross thrillers. The reason is the ending was so abrupt. You find out the killer then there isn’t a finish. Plus the story weaved in between of his grandmother just abruptly ends very very frustrating ending.

Very disappointed. I could care less about Alex Cross' grandmother. Plot was plausible but ending was phoned in. No explanation or discussion about repercussions in government from solving crimes and no explanation of mob involvement. I seems as though he forgot about certain aspects of his story or maybe didn't write those parts to begin with. G.G.

I've read all of Patterson's love stories but I've never been much of a mystery reader. I live the character Alex Cross from the movies and decided to give the books a try. I am so glad I did! The book was great with several plot twists. Patterson does a good job of parallel plot telling and still manages to get your heart racing as you become wrapped up in the stories. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I didn't feel the characters were well developed. This could be because the static characters are built throughout the series of Alex Cross books. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I plan on starting it tomorrow. All in all this was a very good read.

Great book. He always makes you think something in the beginning is not relevant but it is the big key to everything. Only thing is it feels like Patterson wraps the ending up too quick. Otherwise as usual a great book. Been reading him before he got famous!

This book was great. It had so many twists and turns and I could definitely feel the emotions of each character. This is a must read.

This book is so good! I am not a book reader type and I could not put this down at all. One of the only books I have ever finished! Lol I was afraid that I would be confused reading this book because I haven't read any of the Alex cross books previous to this one but I was able to jump right in. If you are someone who is looking to get right into this series but don't want to start from the beginning then start with this book. You won't be disappointed.
