    Very disappoint. The ending just dumped me on the last page without any satisfaction...paraphrasing one critic, the author ran out of things to say and had to finish the book. Poorly thought out plot, not much character development, just a lot of gore. Wouldn't waste my time on another of JP's books.

    I don't read as often as I would like but I grabbed this book from my moms shelf as we were heading out on road trip Frm tx to Georgia. I read the whole thing in a couple days. It's was very hard to put down, and I enjoyed it very much. I love JP!!!

    Not a huge Patterson fan, but I've read some of his stuff. This was a disappointment for me. Not a lot of character development and the plot was kind of choppy. I could have overlooked both of those things since they weren't too severe, but the ending was really inadequate. It felt like the authors just ran out of steam and slapped the last chapter on the end so they could turn in the book. Maybe it was supposed to leave the door open for a sequel, but given the quality of this book, I wouldn't be inclined to read a follow up.
