Tucker Harrison works with his former Air force buddies at Walker Adventures Resort handling chartered flights for tourists as well as handling cargo and mail delivery to surrounding areas in Alaska. While in the air he often hears the sweet voice of Skylar Bridges who handles the radio calls/ communications for the small planes in the air. Tucker doesn’t know much about Skylar since she just recently moved to Diamond Creek, Alaska alone but, she has definitely gotten his attention. Usually Tucker is extremely private and determined to stay away from love and relationships since his high school girlfriend passed away from Cancer. But, Skylar unexpectedly starts breaking down all his walls. They both have some past baggage keeping them from moving forward that is until some unexpected letters help when they need a little push forward. Second chance at love romance, fresh start, building friendships/ family, and wonderful characters. Another great read that is set in Alaska. Tucker flies small planes for Walker Adventures and was in the Air Force. Skylar works for Diamond Creek Transport handling the radio calls. She moved to Alaska from San Francisco. Both have suffered a great loss and don't want to fall in love. The loss Tucker and Skylar had was devastating and they have to learn to move past it to start the healing process. This was well written, kept me intrigued throughout the entire book. I absolutely enjoyed their story and the HEA ending was fantastic.

Aw. Skylar has a crush on Tucker. Tucker, though he’s experienced heartbreak, is willing to give it another shot with Skylar. Thoroughly enjoyed. Recommend.

4.5 Stars This is book 5 in the Dare With Me series and it features Tucker and Skyler. They both have suffered losses of loved ones in the past, which in turn have shaped who they are now. They are afraid to love again. Thank God for good friends and family! Without them, I don’t think these two would’ve ever broken free from their pasts. I absolutely love seeing characters from previous books and I can’t wait for more. These small town Alaska series take me to places I’ve never been but would LOVE to someday visit.

Tucker and Skylar's story will warm your heart. Neither were looking for love, but it found them. Both had challenging paths that led them to where they are. Will their relationship bring them a happily ever after? Their story had me in their corner cheering them on to finding happiness. I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.

Skylar was put into foster care after her mother died of a drug overdose and her father died in jail. Skylar met a friend in foster care who became her best friend Emily. Once they aged out of foster care they moved in together and made plans for the future. Emily wanted to go to Alaska and fly planes, she had a fear of airplanes. Emily and Skylar made all the arrangements to go to Alaska, they got jobs in Alaska and already had an apartment. Emily died as a result of injuries from a plane crash. Skylar was devastated but she went to Diamond Creek, Alaska to fulfill Emily and her dreams. Skylar works for Diamond Creek Transport. One day she had to rush to the bathroom and didn’t realize that it was the men’s bathroom until a voice spoke. Skylar has been in Diamond Creek for awhile and she has been having a hard time making friends. Tucker is an ex-Air Force pilot who came to Diamond Creek to fly for his best friend Flynn who owns Walker Adventures. Tucker fell in love with his high school girlfriend and was devastated when she died from cancer. He swore he would never fall in love again. Tucker is the man who was in the men’s bathroom when Skylar came in and he thought it was funny. Tucker enjoys hearing Skylar’s voice come over the radio, it’s low and throaty. Skylar has always been in love with the idea of being in love so she has been burned by men. Flynn recruited all his Air Force buddies to fly for Walker Adventures so Tucker knows all of them. Most of the pilots have found their forever love, Tucker is one of the last single ones. Tucker finds Skylar to be a gorgeous women and he likes to talk to her. They share a kiss but then Tucker worries it may go too far and Skylar starts worrying that she could become obsessed with Tucker. They finally start to see each other more but there is always the past that stops both of them. Tucker gets a letter from Claire that was held by an attorney for fifteen years. Skylar gets a call from her foster care social worker and she said that she had a letter from Emily that had been held up by another social worker and Jolene had just gotten it. Will Tucker find something in the letter from Claire that will change his opinion on love? Will Skylar find something in the letter from Emily that would change her views on life? Will Skylar make friends in Diamond Creek? Will Skylar learn to love? Will Tucker and Skylar find love and happiness in Diamond Creek? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I absolutely love the way this author is able to write a story where you can place yourself there. The characters, town and atmosphere is so well developed. I love that the characters are likable, realistic and relatable. What they face is believable and how they get to their HEA is a book dream. I recommend this book and author.

JH Croix wrote a heartwarming emotional story in Take Me There. Her characters Skyler and Tucker have so much depth and emotion that you really feel their story come to life. I loved catching up on all the people in Diamond Creek and how the go out to extend their friendship to Skyler. This book is wrought with emotion, it will bring some tears and be well worth reading. Skylar moved to Alaska alone, after her best friend died, She has a hard time making friends due to her life experiences. One of her first, in-person dealings with Tucker occurs in the men’s bathroom, lol. She had to go bad and didn’t pay attention to the sign on the door. Of course, the guy she’s crushing on would be the one in there. Tucker isn’t immune to Skylar either, but he only does casual, after his experience with his high school girlfriend. I’m not going to leave any spoilers because this is a beautifully written story that I think everyone should read for themselves. I will say that the women that work for Walker Adventures or the ones in relationships with Tucker’s coworkers are amazing. Grab your copy and see what happens.
