    All the reviews I read said they couldn’t put this book down, I had to force myself to read the first 100 pages. It’s horribly written and absolutely boring.

    I think the plot is very fun. The way it’s written is a little interesting in a very “young adult” kind of way! I do love how the author references to all the other fantasy stories that seem to have influenced their story line. It’s a fun story and I’m interested to see where it goes.

    I did not like Brea much. I found myself sympathetic to her through the whole book, but until the big reveal at the end of the book I did not like her much. I am very intrigued by Alona and I can’t wait to read more from her point of view. I like how the series is shaping and I can’t wait for more! I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
