  • Oddly terrible from an otherwise great author

Felt more like a romantic comedy than a serious geopolitical thriller.
  • A very thought provoking book!

Such detail in describing the various locations. It made you feel you were there. I’ve always enjoyed his books.

Terrible ending. Too many loose ends.
  • One of Follett’s best

Follett’s writings are always enjoyable and I think this story is one of his finest. Similar to Clancy’s RED STORM RISING, Follett weaves several tales into a very believable and tragic speculation of how individual and nationalistic interests can render moot any more measured interactions. I was kept interested throughout the story.

Well plotted story line and characters that keep you engaged.
  • Not one of his best

The exposition a bit awkward and the actions of some of the characters strained but I enjoyed the read.
  • Underwhelming

Lacked the research of earlier works, also why rush an ending when the reader has already committed to so many pages?
  • Edge of your seat read

Known for his historical epics such as the Kingsbridge novels and the Century Trilogy has now joined the ranks of spy and military/Techno writers such as Tom Clancy. With “Never”, he takes you into an era of modern day intrigue. The settings bounce around from Africa, the US, Asia and Europe. The interweaving plots will keep the reader riveted and amazed.
  • Terrific! Many characters to follow (and care about), but done SO well.
