    Merlin Takes a Familiar is not the usual witch story. This time the human is the familiar for her magical cat. There are a ton of misdirects and some very interesting plot twists. I like Gracie and Merlin and look forward to their continuing adventures. This fascinating mystery even has a moral.

    Normally the witch is a person. In this book the witch is a cat and a human is the familiar. Gracie has adopted a cat she calls Fluffy but the cat eventually reveals himself to be a witch named Merlin. The mystery had action as they try to solve the murder of a human and why Merlin and Gracie are being targeted. Well written and very enjoyable!

    Cute story with an adorable kitten and his "employee" (we all know even normal cats aren't really owned). The story flows well and has enough mystery to keep you interested.
