    The story is of one woman’s courage, perseverance, and belief in herself. It is a compelling story of what you can do in the face of hardship. History and geography are part of the story. Annie is much admired for her ability to move forward when the odds are against her. I would have liked to met her and spent time visiting and talking with her.

    This story encompasses three of my favorite things : biography , horses , and the truth . Although this story has been told previously but in a filtered light, this rendition is more relatable . In the authors own words she was an “ ordinary woman living and extraordinary life “ .
