5By El G MAI’ve just finished and had to write this review. Once I started reading this book, I could not put it down, and when I had to as soon as I could I was back to reading it. It’s a compelling story with characters so real that you become invested in their lives. Rebecca is such a strong person even though she believes she is not and she raises Elisabeths son to be a strong honest young man. I will definitely be looking for and reading more of May McGoldrick ‘s books. This ones a keeper!The Promise

5By ImticeAnother beautiful story from May McGoldrick. Emotional, thought provoking, multi faceted, intriguing, satisfying...how does one adequately describe a McGoldrick book? This isn’t just a love story between Rebecca and Stanmore. It’s a story about all of the different relationships we have in our lives and of all the ways that we love. Jim and Nikoo have a wonderful way of bringing all the threads together and creating stories that are captivating, engaging, humorous, and satisfying.
