I’m so sad to come to the end of this delightfully honest written Kingdom work of goodness for the soul. I highlighted 3/4 of this book or better! However, now that I’m finished, I can read it again! What a blessing! llg

Soul altering, life changing, and inspiring. May I breathe in each word and exhale a slower, more peaceful, abiding life.

I enjoyed this book a ton. Recommended by a friend who was trying to recommend encouragement during anxiety. I was surprised at how much helpful content and context included in this book. I would most definitely recommend this to others.

Doubly fantastic

God’s timing is perfect and He knew this was what I needed just when I needed it. I had been trying to eliminate some areas of hurry in my life but couldn’t do it on my own. This book was just the roadmap for me and perhaps for you. Let go and let God have it.

This is a really well written, very insightful book about how slowing down is actually the way of Jesus and leads to a vast improvement in our lives. I enjoyed it immensely. However, there are a few points in the book that felt were written with a political agenda. There are several references to social justice that are very far-left leaning and antithetical to Judeo-Christian values (on which the United Stated was founded). And the United States is actually called out as being the a major culprit of this so-called social injustice. 98 percent of this book is spot on and my outlook on modern life has definitely been called into question, which is the point. So if you ignore the 2% of this book that is borderline Anti-American cleverly weaved into biblical principles, you will get inspired to improve your life and have the life Jesus died for us to have. I would have given it 5 stars without the politics.

This book is like a soothing balm to a frazzled soul. I have read it before. Actually I listened to the audiobook a couple of years ago. I remembered some nuggets, but not all. Reading it, instead of listening, was a better approach for me. (Aren’t audiobooks kind of a hurry thing anyway?) I read through it slowly. Each time I opened a chapter, I felt my soul breathe a little easier. It’s funny because I am actually a little sad that the book came to an end. I usually only think that sort of thing with a fiction book. But I hope I will keep coming back to this book, like a manual. If you are like me and you are tired of the hurry and the noise of life - get this book and savor it. You will gain a lot of insight on how to ruthlessly eliminate hurry in your life. Your soul will thank you.
