There were many errors in names and grammar. But it had a great story line and action.

I’ve read just about every book series by Blake Pierce and I’m starting the Riley Paige series again. And it’s just as good as the first time I read it. There are a few clerical errors ( Mr. Hayman calls Riley Paige instead of Sweeney in the library after she was attacked by Leon ) a couple others but I’m a little too detailed. I love this author and how empowering the heroine is. Riley Paige makes me proud to be a woman and inspires me to be better, but knowing that we all have our past trauma or current trauma that we can all relate to Riley.
Same old same

Great read. Easy to read, and always kept me turning the pages, setting on the edge of my seat.

It’s a great prequel to the Riley Paige series. The story has been alluded to in the series so it was great to read the full story.
Could use some editing

This book has potential but really needs an editor. There are parts that are jumbled and don’t make sense because people are referred to as “he” and “she” to talk about one single person. Some parts are too unrealistic and blatant. You can also only use “shocked” and “shuddered” so many times in a chapter before you really need to choose some other descriptive terms. The ending felt so rushed out of nowhere. At one point the main character sees and talks to her professor in the library and presumably less than an hour later calls his office and it’s written like they’ve not seen each other all day. The main characters name also gets a different last name of another character towards the end. All in all not a bad book, but could have been so much better
