Description

The only thing more hilarious than the movies is… real life?! Fall in love with the sizzling grumpy-sunshine romantic comedy - perfect for fans of Sophie Kinsella and Ali Hazlewood!

Stylist Gemma Jones is competing for a once-in-a-lifetime promotion. All she has to do is take some fashion-backward guy from geek to GQ-worthy. The only problem? The man in question is her hairy manwhore of a next-door neighbor. AKA Bigfoot.

Zach Morrison has zero interest in being Gemma’s makeover mannequin. Sure, it’s fun getting his smart-mouthed neighbor all riled up, but after cashing out of his tech start-up and going through an ugly break-up, he’s taking a permanent vacation. If he wants to wear sweatpants and sleep on a mattress in the corner of an empty apartment—

OK. Maybe he needs a little push in the right direction. But as Gemma races the clock to win her bet, she finds that Bigfoot’s been hiding a few things under his baggy flannel shirts. Like abs of steel, and a surprisingly big...

Heart. He has a big heart.

Soon, sparks are flying between this unlikely couple, but can Zach embrace a fresh start - however manscaped it might be? And will Gemma beat out her fashionista rival for the top spot - and keep the truth about their bet from Zach?

Find out in the hot and hilarious new romance from “the reigning queen of rom-com”, USA Today bestselling author Lila Monroe.

  • Amazing Weekend Read

I’ve been struggling getting back into reading for a while now, i’ve tried mystery, history, and disappearance cases. I thought romance books were just cheesy micro-porn but i fell in love with this one and it’ll be making my transition into the wonderful world of romance novels and brain escapes go rampaging. Totally recommend, for people who’ve already had the birds and bees talk.

It didn’t really flow and the spice was awkward but the story was cute

I fell in love with this book, and it takes a lot for me to fall in love with a book. It’s a cutesy romance book between two neighbors and im just a sucker for cutesy, slightly cheesy romance books. My only complaint was how the book ended and it just felt really rushed all of a sudden. It was like this is really good I can’t wait to see what’s next to boom, end of book. It’s like there was not lead up to the end of the book it just stopped. Now there is a bit of smut and suggestive language so if that’s not your vibe I wouldn’t really recommend it but honestly you could skip it and be okay with it, it’s not a big part of the plot anyways.

Very cliché. A lot of cringey love scenes. I couldn’t wait to finish it. Not interested in it too much.

The only part I didn’t like was when they were apart and that’s because it made me cry

I loved this little read! It’s long enough to be engaging, but short enough for a quick read. The story was well thought out and precious, and the character arcs are perfect. The only gripe I have is that I initially thought this was going to be a low spice book, but I would def say it’s more a medium spice, but the scenes aren’t gross or drawn out, so it’s easy to skim them or skip them all together. Overall this little read was a 10/10 if you like it spicy and a 9/10 if you don’t!
