Just when you think you know the story another twist that keeps you hooked. Loved every bit of it!!!!

Amazed all the way to the planet of Lux and back!

The story now continues on with new characters. But now we have a more matured Luc who is reunited once again with Evie. Their love story is to die for!

My heart can’t handle this!! I needed the next one, so I got it. Now I must wait because, plot twist; there are three more. THREE! Long story short, you need to read the lux series by JLA to fully see this storyline, but it’s standalone enough that you actually don’t need to. She does a wonderful job explaining the backstory without reading it, but I HIGHLY recommend reading obsidian first. All the characters you fell for come back and swoop in to steal your heart all over again. But this, this has twists and turns I didn’t even see coming! This will take you for the ride of your life, and you won’t regret it.

I absolutely love this series.. I love Luc but I am so saddened by what happened to Micah.. I just can’t wait until the next book in this series comes out..

Worth the read especially if you enjoyed The Lux series by the same author. And while this book was predictable and imperfect (does contain plot holes and it feels like something's missing), "The Darkest Star" was still a fun and entertaining read.

Spoil alert review! So I loved the book and I’m so happy we’re finally getting Luc’s love story BUT you can definitely see similarities between this book and daemon and Katy’s story. Like when they made out and everything was crackling but she didn’t care same with Katy, when Luc was fighting and pulled the trees out same with daemon, when Luc told evie to run but she didn’t and saved him same with daemon and Katy. That’s the only thing that kinda of was just like “hmm alrighty” it’s not a bad thing and I still love the book and can not wait for the second book. PLEASE MAKE A SECOND BOOK.
