Really good basic book I have learned a lot of this book

This is a helpful book for the complete newbies, but it is a little vague in some spots. Still not bad and an easy read.

This book was short, succinct and to the point for the initial training for your best buddy.

Definitely good on the basics! I just got my first puppy (not my first dog though), and I sudden realized I had never gone through puppy training. I’m glad they went over socializing your pet ESPECIALLY at the vet. However, mildly disappointed they didn’t really go over desensitizing your pup to feet, ear and face touches. Those three are typically forgotten and are the reasons I (a vet tech) get bit. Also very vague, but overall decent! Will definitely be employing some of these, just wish it went a little more in depth.

It is the best book I’ve ever read before

It’s good for the basics but if you want more in depth training this wouldn’t be what I recommend.

This quick read seemed a little scattered but came from a thoughtful perspective. Never having taken on the “pet-owner responsibility”, I thought this was useful but also, not the only thing I’ll read before taking on puppy life

Great for most breeds! I tried it on my English Retriever, it worked but my mini poodle did not want to listen and just jumped on me for the treats.
