  • The true meaning of love

The first book I read of Melissa’s was the beginning of the Love in Bloom series and I have read every one since then. I have to admit this latest book, “The Thrill of Love”, is my favorite. It is well written and it drew me in right from the first chapter. As we find out in the beginning of the book, Aiyla and Ty met for the first time in Switzerland. They made a pact at that time that if fate was on their side, they would meet again. And as fate would have it… a charity bike ride/marathon in Colorado brings them back together. They are drawn to each other once again and begin to realize that they belong together. But as it happens, that may not be as easy as it seems as fate may have other plans for them. Their love and commitment is tested by a potential tragedy and decisions need to be made. Can they weather the storm or will they lose each other once again? Be prepared for an emotional ride as you read this book. It is a story of love, of pain, of fear and of true commitment. I recommend it without hesitation but be sure to have some tissues ready! The narrator,BJ Harrison does a great job. He has a very easy to listen to voice and I enjoyed this book.

Ty Braden is a thrill seeker, photographer (I’m talking National Geographic here), and quite the lady’s man, if his reputation is accurate. He never thought of settling down with one woman until he met Aiyla Bell. She is an adventurer, and she’s also a photographer (of older faces around the world). They spent five amazing days together in Saint Luc, but agreed to let fate decide if they would meet again. Fate plays a big part in this story. Ty and Aiyla do meet again, and as any good romance novel dictates, they fall in love. But that’s not all there is to this story. In fact, that’s pretty much the beginning. All it takes is one life changing event… Melissa Foster has written another wonderful, hot, heart-wrenching, love filled story that will make you believe in fate and the forever kind of love that seems so rare these days. When you read this story, be prepared to feel all the feels, cry the tears, laugh and love right along with the Bradens. This story runs so much deeper than most. Grab it and enjoy the ride! B.J. Harrison narrates the audio version of this story so well. His voice and inflections so clearly bring this story to life. My imagination was pretty good when reading the book, but hearing someone else read it put a whole new spin on the story for me. Such a good one!

I haven’t written a review in a very long time, but after reading Ty & Aiyla’s story I had to share my thoughts. This book was fantastic! What a beautifully told love story. I cried so much. Not once did I feel frustrated with any of the characters. This book was real. I believe that the love Ty feels for Aiyla is real and should not be discounted. I’ve witnessed a love like this; and it’s a beautiful thing.

With her powerful voice, Melissa Foster brings us her most emotional book yet! Fate brought them together, but their hearts easily attached and led them to the deep love they can’t imagine letting slip through their fingers. They might start out casual without plans of a future in tact, but each day brings more hope that it is their destiny to share a forever … until horrifying news tears through their dreams and make them have to decide how to soldier through. It’s gut wrenchingly real and beautifully written! Mountain climber and photographer Ty Braden has never been one for settling down and believing in more than living for the moment, but when he happens upon a gorgeous woman that he spends five days with in Saint-Luc, he gives his heart away without a second thought. She takes his breath away and he can’t imagine life without her, but his reputation precedes him and scares her away. Ski instructor and photographer Aiyla Bell can’t believe it when she runs into Ty again at a five day charity wilderness event! She hasn’t been able to forget about him since their time together a few months ago, but since she knew his reputation as a player, she was leery of trusting him. Now that he’s in front of her again and the same old feelings are burning strong, she can’t deny him again. This has to be real if fate has brought them together twice and they are both waiting for the other to complete them. They decide to when it’s time to pack up and leave that they have to share their lives … but when reality comes crashing in on them faster than they ever expected, they are going to have to dig deep to find the strength to lean on each other.

Aiyla and Ty story was beautiful, but tugs at all my heart strings. They were a beautiful outlet bound by fate. The love of the entire Braden family was remarkably awesome. I was so in to the characters, it seem real. They both loved the outdoors, running, hiking, swimming, mountain climbing and photography. They were meant to be happy together. Life takes and ugly turn, and they have to deal with life changing illness. In the end they survived it all. Maybe changed the way they had to live but they had life...

Way too sad for me! Not a true romance novel that you usually write. Sorry!
  • Wonderful if you believe in Love & Destiny!

Do you believe in fate? In Melissa’ Foster’s latest “Braden” novel, fate is exactly what brings together Ty Braden and Aiyla Bell. From the snowy slopes of Saint-Luc Switzerland to a grueling race in the mountains of Colorado, fate ensures the star-crossed lovers are once again, together. Much like the movie “Serendipity,” the Thrill of Love was a book that captured my attention from the very beginning. The Bradens of Peaceful Harbor have always been some of my favorites, and revisiting one of the offspring of Ace and Maisy was, for me, a fun trip down memory lane. This book didn’t have a typical “problem-solution” like many of Melissa’s books have…no dramatic breakups; no other man or woman to come between them; however, fate threw Ty and Aiyla a major curveball that some people may have had a hard time riding out as a couple. Not them…it only made them stronger. I highly recommend reading this book. The intensity of their love and relationship feels very authentic and not forced. You like the characters because they are likeable and you want them to be a couple. I found a very satisfying conclusion and as usual, can’t wait for the next book in the series to be released!

First let me say I do love Melissa Foster books. I think the current one is always the best until I read the next. But this book featuring Ty Braden and Aiyla Bell is incredible. In my opinion Melissa's strong suit is her character development and this book is no different. This story is filled with fate, love and life changing events. You will experience the love of the entire Ace Braden Family. During the course of reading this tears were trickling down my face without my knowledge or permission. Anyone would want the kind of love Ty has for Aiyla. This is not just reading a book, it is a true reading experience. Kudos to Melissa Foster. A true 10 star book.
