    She was a young detective in an all male police dept. She had to endure prejudice and disrespect. She finally proved herself by catching The Scarecrow Killer. It came at a high price but got her a job with the FBI and a fresh start.

    I trudged through the first half of this book before giving up. There are just too many of these books with a young FBI agent/detective/cop with a traumatic childhood. And then there’s always a handsome compatriot. No wonder so many of them are free.
