Two Independent, Fierce...and STUBBORN souls
5By Kirsten EllenAnother great narration by BJ Harrison...and, of course, more great writing from Melissa. WOW!!! Jake & Addy! We knew they'd be hot!! Two fierce and independent individuals are bound to do that. But WOW, can we also say STUBBORN! :-) Addy has a stubborn streak that she KNOWS causes issues in some aspects of her life. But how can you blame her. After living 18 years with her father taking care of EVERYTHING for her and her mother, she didn't want to have to depend on a man to get her through life. She wanted to do it on her own. She didn't think even falling in love was in the cards, because she feared that menat giving up herself and everything she wanted. Enter Jake Ryder and all her independence is in jeopardy, or so she thinks! Jake has had a thing for Addy the minute he met her with her smart mouth and fierce independence! The one thing he absolutely he cant get enough of is the one thing that could pull them apart. He tries, with everything he has, to be patient and show Addy she can be with him and still be herself. She doesn't have to give anything up. But Addy's past and her family have proven two times over how much the thinks she will give up surrendering to the desire that has built between her and Jake. Her solo trip into the mountains causes anxiety and Jake to realize that he loves her! He is bound and determined to show her that she can be the woman he fell in love with and not change one thing about herself, except letting him in!Great Book
5By AshleyHeddenRescued by Love by Melissa Foster was a great read. This is the fourth book in The Ryder’s series. Addison has returned to Elpitha Island for Gabriella’s wedding. Jake and Addison decide to give into their urges and spend the weekend together. I absolutely loved reading Addison and Jakes story. I listened to the audiobook and thought it was absolute perfection. The narrator did an amazing job of bringing the characters to life and giving them much more depth. I can’t wait to read more Ryder’s stories.Rescued By Love

Jake had been eyeing Addy since they met, but played hard to get. But he was determined to change her mind. So when his brother and her best friend got married he took advantage of an opportunity. He might be slightly arrogant and a total player, but he’s adorably endearing and we have to fall for him anyway! These Ryders are quite the bunch … a great, close-knit family that is always there to love and support each other. I enjoy them so much … and can’t wait for more! Jake Ryder has been lusting after Addison Dahl for months now, but she’s been playing hard to get. He knows he gets to her, but she refuses to give in and have a fling with him. He works hard as a Search and Rescue guy, but when he has some down time, he lives to enjoy life … and preferably a sexy woman! Addy isn’t as immune to Jake’s charms as she tries to pretend. She honestly hasn’t been able to get him off her mind in the months since they first met and he turned on the heated charm. She doesn’t do feelings for a man … she just has a good time and lives for herself, so she’s NOT happy that this guy will not get out of her head! She’s looking forward to getting away for a few days in the mountains and hopes that will give her a fresh perspective. When temptation gets to be too much and they share a night together, will they be able to walk away?Sexy and sweet

He's been propositioning her for months, but she refuses, thinking it could damage the relationship between her and Jake's family. She finally gives in thinking it will be just like all her other one night stands, but Jake wants more than one night, and so does she. It was interesting to see Jake change his playboy ways so easily while Addie struggles with losing her independence if she is in a relationship. I loved the way she slowly realizes that loving someone, being with them and sometimes needing their help does not take away from who she is or what she wants. My only negative is that she was a bit too stubborn for me and it was frustrating the way she kept pushing Jake away. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. She doesn't want to rock the boat or cause any issues with her best friend since Gabriella is making into Jake's family, do and just flirts back, walks away, compares him to every guy, and then dreams about him. Jake has wanted Addy since the first time he seen her, but she turns his advances down every time. By the time they're at his brother Duke and Gabriella's wedding on Elpitha Island, he's gotta find away to break through her stubbornness. He's just got to have her. They agree to one night, but it's one night enough? Addy doesn't have the best role models when it comes to relationships, one night stands are easier. But can she only do one night with Jake? You'll have to read RESCUED BY LOVE to find out, I cannot wait for the next story! This is another amazing love story by Melissa Foster!
