4By Suds2uWhat’s a professor to do when he realizes he won’t be promoted to dean? Take a sabbatical to write a book, of course. And this is what’s brought Matt Lacroux back to the seaside area. He wants to write his book, but he can’t help being the hero and helping anyone and everyone. He falls for Mira, who has a mind of her own as well as a young son. I’ve read several books by this author and have always enjoyed the books in her Seaside series. This book is no exception. The story moves at a good pace with plenty of backstory and visits from past characters. It’s almost like a homecoming in some scenes, but the book can totally be read as a stand-alone. Who knew that libraries could be so cool? From libraries to co-ops, to building a raft, this story will make you want to have fun and maybe do some guy things (in kidspeak). B.J. Harrison does an outstanding job voicing the characters in the audio version. He's smooth and his voices are believable. Enjoyable.My favorite book by this author!!!

Matt LaCroux is an amazing man and this author couldn't have chosen a more perfect woman and child combo for him to fall in love with. Mira Savage is a very good single mother and very protective of her and her son's hearts. Her very smart son, Hagan, six years old, is absolutely adorable. Waiting for Matt to decide on whether he was going back to teaching in New Jersey or staying in the Cape with her and Hagen was agonizing for Mira. Matt has been so educationally driven his whole life no one had any idea which direction he would choose. Watching how Matt treated Mira was like floating on a huge cloud of very real and very passionate romance but ALWAYS keeping her son in mind. Absolutely AMAZING! I can't wait to devour more of this author's books.Matt is Hot!

Matt was lovable. Sexy and a man in control. Whew and Matt had a way with words, he even had me hot. The sex was jumping off the pages. Matt is my new book boyfriend. This family and group of friends are always fun to read and give us a great dip into being part of a big, loving family. The characters are great, the romance is sweet, and the chemistry is steamy hot! We got a hint of something between Matt Lacroux and his dad’s employee, Mira Savage in the last book at the big family engagement party, so it’s great to pick up this book and see their flirty friendship continued once they returned home. Matt ends up taking a sabbatical from teaching and heads home to Cape Cod to reconnect with his family and concentrate on writing his book … it doesn’t hurt that he hasn’t stopped thinking about Mira since they met almost a year ago either! Mira is hesitant to act on her attraction to Matt because his father is her boss and her job is already on shaky ground, but she’s also a single mother with a lot of responsibility. But Matt isn’t taking it lying down, and every time she sees him treat her son in such a gentle manner, her heart melts! After a chance encounter leads to a magical night together, they decide that taking a chance on the connection they are feeling might be dangerous, but they can’t resist!Perfection!

The women are independent and yet soft in the right ways. Matt and Mira are no exception. Add in Mira's son Hagan and you've got a trifecta of perfection. And you get all the great friends from Melissa's other stories popping up in here and you get a little bit of an epilogue on their stories. Let Matt, Mira and Hagan steal your heart with Seaside Whispers. You won't regret it!10 star book. Loved it.
