Monsieur Beaucaire is a short novel by Booth Tarkington that was first published in 1900. The story sets in Bath during the eighteenth century. The story begins by introducing a main character to us, who served as Master of Ceremonies of Bath. The all-consuming story describes the adventures of an impetuous young prince who dispensed with protocol in selecting his wife. Monsieur Beaucaire  is considered to be a noteworthy novel and a prime example of literature in the early 19th century.
